When We Are Closed

closedWhen the surgery is closed, please call 111.

NHS 111

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Electronic Prescription Service

The Practice offers the Electronic Prescription Service, which allows you to "nominate" a place to get your medicines or appliances from.

If you  are a Littlebourne patient you can continue to get your medications from Littlebourne Surgery Dispensary as normal.

To ensure your prescriptions continue to be sent correctly, please ask a member of staff for help or more information.

What is the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)?

The Electronic Prescription Service allows your GP to send your prescription electronically to a pharmacy or appliance company of your choice.

The benefits include:

  • You will not have to visit your GP to collect your prescription, saving time.
  • You can choose to collect your medication from a pharmacy near where you live, work or shop.
  • You may not have to wait as long at the pharmacy as your repeat prescriptions could be prepared before you arrive.

Please continue to allow two working days from the time of your request for your nominated pharmacy/appliance company to receive your prescription electronically.
